Flotilla 04-08, Somerville, N.J., is comprised of volunteers dedicated to safer recreational boating. 
Auxiliarists undergo special training so they are able to assist and augment the United States Coast Guard,  by participating in non-military, non-law enforcement programs of boating education, vessel safety checks, 
search and rescue, safety patrols, and aids to navigation.

Vessel Safety Check  --  Your "Seal of Safety"

Will your vessel pass a U.S. Coast Guard Safety Equipment Check?  Have a FREE safety check of your boat's required equipment by one of our Vessel Examiners.  We will go over your safety equipment with you, "one on one", and explain what you are required to have onboard.  When you pass the safety check, you will receive aVessel Safety Check decal for 2000 "Vessel Safety Check" sticker to be affixed to your vessel to demonstrate your commitment to boating safety.  Review the   Vessel Safety Check Schedule.  To arrange for your free safety check or to get more information, contact us. Remember, we don't "turn you in" if you're boat doesn't pass. The life you save may be your own!
